It picks up again at Victory Road, when people start using non-water type Pokemon, this time contributing a lot against the first two Elite Four members. Because it can be found early, has good stats for an early-game Pokemon, learns good ground STABs and self-destruct, and has a typing that's sometimes good, I nominate Geodude (trade) for B tier.

Despite the Nintendo DS system making a splash, Pokémon Emerald Version showed that the Game Boy Advance was still an excellent system. Fortunately for Nintendo DS owners, you could transfer Pokémon from any of the Game Boy Advance games into future DS Pokémon RPGs.

Pokémon Emerald Version takes Trainers back to the land of Hoenn for an expanded adventure, this time against both Team Magma and Team Aqua! Pokémon Emerald also features an even more exciting storyline featuring the Legendary Rayquaza, and the chance to catch more Legendary Pokémon such as both Latios and Latias!

Around the region you'll notice exciting locales, especially the Battle Frontier. The Battle Frontier is basically an amusement park for Trainers, with a variety of challenges in a number of arenas headed by the always-intimidating Frontier Brains, some of the most formidable Trainers you've ever faced.

The gameplay in Emerald is almost the same as it was in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. Your character can move in four directions and battle on grass against wild Pokemons. You can find Pokemons on caves too. Have to chose between 3 initials , they have fire type, water and grass.

Inarguably one of the best Pokémon games I've ever played. Pokémon Emerald is the third Generation III Pokémon game for the GameBoy Advance.

I've never really felt bored with this title. You always had something to do. You can catch, train, and trade Pokémon, battle other trainers, and plant berries that you can use either as medicine or an ingredient to a Pokéblock. There were also Pokémon contests which test other aspects of your Pokémon if ever you get tired of all the battling.

The graphics and sound are good and immersive for a GBA title. It's kinda relaxing hearing the Pokémon Center theme when you come in after an exhausting day of training.

All in all, this game will always have a special place in my heart no matter how many new Pokémon games come after it.

Pokemon Emerald rates this game: 4/5

Pokemon Emerald is a fun game where you get to meet cool Pokemon, battle other Trainers like you, and face difficult challenges. It is the ultimate Pokemon game.

Simply the best pokemon game on gba, and for me the best pokemon game on every console. Great story and sub-plots, advanced gameplay with the introduction of tag battles and the introduction of the battle frontier, with hardcore pokemon battles, and a great length.
