Comments: Great for hot summer days / nights. Throw it into the deepest cover and get blown up. Couple things to remember, Bring super glue. They are soft and 1 pike can ruin your day without glue to repair the bodys. Glue the weights in better before using, they tend to come out. Buy a pack of tails, sometimes 1 will last all day, sometimes you will go through 4-5 in a couple hours. Just depends on the pike / cover and activity. These are just awesome and draw the big fish in.

Comments: Been waiting a while to write a review on the Sprinker. They have been a part of my game plan since they came out on the market and it is on the deck pretty much year round when I am targeting weed beds and flats. This is quite simply the best tool for dissecting massive weed flats with sparse emergent weeds. Since day one I have had very little issues with hooking up with this bait. In my opinion it is about equipment setup and rod position and I think this will a bit different for everyone. Overall it is has become one of my all time favorite fish producing baits.

Comments: This has been my favorite frog to use for the last couple years now! Incredible plopping action, weedlessness, and castability. Definitely will buy more in the future!
From: Al: Maine 5/24/20
Comments: I'm a huge frog guy I throw it 90% of the time from May to November in the north east. I call this frog the weedless whopper plopper fantastic action runs true pretty versitlie you can steady retrieve it fast or slow you can pop it, stop and go. You can fish it in open water or thick stuff, great in shallow water, also very succesful in dirty water, if you have a problem with hook sets for some reason just bend the hooks out a little... I totally recommed it.
From: Unknown: New Jersey 4/30/20
Comments: This frog kicks butt! It's dummy proofstep 1) tie Sprinker frog on your line. step 2) cast frog out. step 3) reel frog back. step 4) repeat steps 2 & 3. The neat thing about this frog is its so easy to use. I love it! An important note is not to watch the frog itself but the wake it leaves behind. Bass will follow it like a shark getting ready to ambush prey. You will notice a separate 2nd wake behind the frogs wake. Most likely its a fish following it 'hopefully a bass'. When this happens pause the frog for 2-3 seconds. This is when the strikes happen most of the time 'at least for me '. Watermelon, old black shore, old perch, and old frog are great color choices. WARNING: if pike grabs this frog its game over. Pike teeth literally tear them up! So do snakeheads in Florida. Give these frogs a try. It's a really fun, awesome bait to use. You won't regret it.
From: Jason: Ohio 4/29/20
Comments: I've been using it for a month and it's the best lure ever for hits. The downside is, it's the worst lure for hook set ever. Yesterday out of 30 hits we landed 6 in the boat. I would say a less than 20 % hook set ratio. I simply believe that the lure and the hook are too large and the rubber too stiff. If you add a little water inside the lure it's difficult to set the hooks properly. I will try the booyah toadrunner jr. Just sad at that price that I bought 8 of them....
From: Rene: 8/13/19
Comments: the teckel sprinker frog is a great concept but in my opinion poorly engineered. it does catch bass but the hooks are too far from body and the weights fall out after just a few hard bites. you need to do better teckel.
From:Unknown 7/22/19
Comments: One of my most favorite frogs in mid to late summer! Yes you do have to squeeze water out of them but not on every cast. My only complaint would be the durability of them. I'm on my third one and I don't know if I should complain but the bass put a hurting on this frog and they just don't hold up but still a awesome frog my favorite time to use is when they want it fast.
From: Unknown: 7/21/19
Comments: Very durable and can last for a very long time. I have caught over 100 fish on one bait, and still going strong (I have primarily used the black and blue color). I have had some fish take the tails and I replace them with the tails off of 4.75' strike king rage swimmers in black and blue to get the same loud plop. This calls the big ones up and i have caught many 6 pounders and a 7, along with many other sized fish. They will not suck this frog in, they will absolutely kill it and explode like you have never seen before. They have an excellent hook up ratio with the soft body and sharp hooks, but are not the best for mats or scum and will get lots of moss on them. This bait excels in sparse grass, lily pads, reeds, and pretty much everything but scum. Well worth the money
From: Unknown: TX 7/20/19
Comments: These are great. Caught a nice pike in the high 30s on it and the hooks had it pinned. Surprisingly durable.
From:Gus: Saint Paul, MN 7/10/19
Comments: This frog does not stay on top of the water. Sinks half way through the retrieve rendering the spinning prop tail useless. Water just completely fills the body. Considering the price point I'd expect it to be of a better quality. A waste of money.

Comments: I think all the bad reviews are the backlash with anything that comes with a hyped up price tag (at the time). All I know is that it is super easy to cast and just had a 4 pounder slam it before I could even react. Fun bait to throw and not worry about weeds. Bone is the color for me
From:Unknown Bay area, CA 7/2/19
Comments: About the most fun you can have in bass fishing. This lure provokes violent strikes. Great hook-up ratio, too. Amazing. Pro-tip: you can use any big paddle tail from a swimbait to replace the tail that comes on the sprinker when fish bite them off. I like to throw the sprinker on my Expride 7'3' Extra Heavy.
From: Adam - Tallahassee 2/18/19
Comments: I've used this frog for about a year. They used to make the hooks higher up(please go back). But this frog is absolutely great. Perfect for areas you cant get a whopper plopper in or near, hook up is much better than a standard frog I feel. I've owned 5 different ones, only have had to replace one tail(gar). No complaints on quality. A bit pricey I will say.
From: Chris - South Florida 2/13/19
Comments:I bought a couple of these and they sat for months before I used them. I don t get the bad reviews. I've caught 8 bass on 1 of them and had zero problems. I thought the tail might get torn up pretty easy but after 8 fish in the 2 to 5 lb range, it shows no tears or problems. To be fair, I tied on the other one, to change colors, and it's tail would alternate between spinning great and stop spinning for a split second. So there may be a little variation in quality. But I only have 2. The price is a little steep, but it will flat out catch fish.
From: Bill: Cookeville tn 8/29/18
Comments: Awesome frog, I was concerned about the hook up ratio but the first time I took it out I went 6 for 6 on hooksets. It's not as loud as a whopper plopper but it definitely still makes a plopping noise as long as it is not full of water. Expensive, but the extra few bucks are worth a great hookup ratio.
From: Phil - Fort Collins, CO 7/10/18
Comments: This frog certainly gets hit and has a nice, loud plopping action. Compared to the Booyah Toad Runner, this bait makes a bit more noise and has a body that collapses easier. It isn't for super heavy mats, and it does take on water. But around moderate weed cover, this frog is deadly and gets some savage blow ups. Worth every penny.
From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 7/5/18
Comments: First 6 cast, 3 hooked bass...I'm sold. If your not getting a plopping noise make sure there is no water in the body. I was debating between this and the road-runner but I heard this had a better hook up ratio. Last night I went 6 for 6 on hooksets overall. Worth the price tag in my opinion.
From: Philip: United States 6/25/18
Comments: It's crazy the amount of bad reviews this frog is getting!! Either I am doing something really different than you all but I have had zero issues with this and it has netted me at least 10-15 3 to 4 lb bass and 1 6lb bass. I have only missed a few but hey, that's frog fishing! This is a must have for me and I have 5 in my box. Excited to see what happens when I bring these into northern and musky areas If you guys are unhappy and don't want em, please feel free to send them my way!! I'll take em! I have had no product issues and I have made no changes
From: Steve: Woodstock, IL 5/23/18
Comments: Literally just threw 2 in the garbage. They will not stay on top of the water. I tried them on two different trips. I refuse to throw a frog that I have to squeeze the water out of every cast. On long cast or while trying to pause it about half way back it would start sinking. Booyah from now on. Period.
From:Cody: Texas 5/14/18
Comments: I ordered this frog without reading any reviews, and I'm glad I did! I can't begin to understand all of the hate this product is getting. Maybe initial batches were not as solid, but I ordered three and caught a ton of fish on them, including a 7 pounder. I had my most success slow rolling it across points on banks. The hooks are shaped than anything I've ever seen from Booyah or Spro, and I only had 2 come off out of about 15-18 catches. It's an expensive frog to be sure, but it's a blast to fish. In my opinion, a great way to teach beginners to frog fish. I will definitely be ordering more.
From: Ryan: United States 4/3/18
Comments: Idk y all the negative comments, I've fished this frog extensively and can tell you it works great, the tail spins and plops like it was designed to do, no problems with hook up ratio, also got the honker frog.
From: Matt: Florida 4/1/18

From: Unknown: 2/12/18
Comments: Some baits catch FISH..... others catch FISHERMEN...... This lure definitely was marketed as the next best thing and the brilliant marketing strategy of limiting the immediate supply cause an uproar and a rush to pre-order. All for a mediocre at best frog. Sure, it bubbles and 'plops' to a degree but the fish catching ability is suspect. That said, I was one of the fishermen that it caught and I have a sore wallet to show for it. A total waste of money that could've been spent on a Bully Wa or Spittin' Wa that catch fish. Oh well, you live, learn and die and forget it all.... Now, to go check on my next order of super duper baits that'll catch 'em all!
From: Rick: Shuqualak, Ms 1/21/18
Comments: Don't waste your money. This is a another case of great idea that was poorly executed. Tails come off easily the screw lock will catch weeds and that's it. When the tail is actually still attached The action isn't very impressive. Save your money.
From: Unknown - 1/8/18
Comments: I've purchased 2 of these frogs, very disappointed in how they work. Stick with Spro or any other
major brand out there.
From: Boyd - 1/6/18
Comments: This was the real deal, a game changer, a must have. I have tested this product in Northwest Arkansas on some smaller rivers. The lure was a major attraction for the bass here. My problem wasn't finding fish to bite, it was hook sets. I bet I'e missed twenty bass and caught two. My misses were solid hits, often lasting a couple seconds then boom, fish is off. I haven't made any adjustments, but I'm thinking about bending the hooks slightly. Love the action, the fish are interested. Im sure not throwing it away lol.
From: Ketcher - 1/2/18
Comments: Im not sure what everyone is complaining about on this frog. No it is not worth the 50 dollars that I have seen them going for on ebay. But they are worth 15. I have caught several nice fish on this. My buddy was throwing a popping frog and ribbit and couldn't get hit. I had a double digit on, but my net guy missed him and he threw the hook. These do catch fish, especially try speed reeling over pads to get a reaction strike. It work.

From: Disco - Delta, CA 12/20/17
Comments: Way Over Hyped. I did like the action of the appendage and it did have a decent noise to it. However, I was constantly having to drain the water out. I will not fish it anymore and it sucks I waited months for a pretty crappy frog.
From: Brandon - Maryland, 12/12/17
Comments: Absolute worst lure for the price you pay for it. Have used it on many occasions and have yet to hook a fish with it while other top water baits produced. I guess the lesson here is to live and learn.
From: Unknown - Spokane, WA 11/29/17
Comments: This lure is perfect for fishing in sparse vegetation when the fish are aggressive and are hitting on top. The hook placement really increases your hookup ratio, and the hooks being away from the body does not cause snagging in these situations. Many people who buy this bait believe that this believe that it will replace everything in their topwater box and it won't; a traditional frog will still perform better on mats and a plopper will do better in open water. However, in my eyes you must have this bait in your box for that one situation.
From:Jacob: Wellington 11/24/17
Comments: One of the worst lures I've ever bought for its price point. Absolutely awful. I could watch a dog get run over and it wouldn't be as sad as the performance of this lure. Better off making your own or throwing a plopper.
From:Eric: Orlando FL 11/10/17
Comments: Threw the Teckel Sprinker on two separate occaisions (7 hours total; 1 sunny day, 1 overcast day). I got a whopping 11' bass in the boat on the first day and got no attention after that - baitfish activity was high. Still doesnt beat a brown jig with a green pumpkin trailer :)
From:Unknown: Upstate SC 10/27/17
Comments: Did a lot of reading and videos on this lure, decided to go ahead order a couple of these. Put my order in ans had to wait about a month for them to come in. Wirh much anticipation I finally got my frogs and took them out after about 3 hours with absolutely no bites, strikes or any attention at all I decided to put them away and continue with jig fishing. A couple of 4 pounders later I put the frogs back in my tackle box. I have tried them over and over and have yet to catch a fish. Definitely not the next best thing. Not impressed at all, especially having to wait so long for them.
From:Scott: Fort Wayne 10/26/17
Comments: The action on the boot tail is great and unique, but you can get hits on any frog. Where this truly shines is in the hooks. These things are SHARP and the frog is so nice and soft. When you get it, take it out of the package, hold the eye with one hand, and give the frog a gentle grab with the other. Guaranteed you get snagged and FEEL snagged. These hooks are damn sharp and the frog gives an action these fish haven't seen much of lately. Great bait. Worth the 15.
From:Scott: Mechanicsville 10/20/17
Comments: I finally was able to get my hands on one of these after waiting several months. In my opinion the sprinker did not live up to the hype . I did notice the distinct'plopping sound' like what was shown in the video. Also the hooks on this frog are to big for it. The hooks do not lay flush on the frog and when you fish around grass especially around matted water willow , the hooks grab onto the grass badly. Maybe I got a bad batch.
From:Derek: NC 10/14/17
Comments: This bait worked wonders for me the other day in all I caught 8 fish 1 6 and the others all in between the 4 to 5 rage and I only missed 2 fish which where small fishing this bait worked better for me with a stop and pause retrieve the came out from under the mat look to cause trouble when the bait was paused and the hook up ratio was perfect for me all of them choked it.
From:Quinton: North SC 9/25/17
Comments: Definitely a revolutionary lure and produces strikes that other frogs couldn't...obviously an amazing product from that aspect. This frog plops louder than the plopper 90 imo, unless grass grabs the swivel during the retrieve. My issue with this product is the weights and tails fall off all the time resulting in quite a bit of frustration and extra revenue for teckel. It is impossible to get one, or keep one in working condition. Without a doubt a game changer and great concept would love to see a Sprinker 2.0
From:Arnold: Florida 9/21/17
Comments: If you think this is gonna sound like a plopper do not waste your time. Sounds more like a Ribbit or tiny buzzbait. The video floating around on you tube has sound added to it. It is not even close to that loud. It is a good bait for fishing grass, but I was expecting plopper type noise that would call them up out of wood, etc. Not worth the money for another grass bait.....might as well just throw a horny toad or ribbit.
From: Chad - Indiana 9/20/17
Comments: I don't usually write reviews and I'm an avid fisherman. Also, I'm not a frog fisherman but I was sure this bait would change the game for me. It did NOT! Still no fish in the boat from a frog. This this was great tossing in pad and around weeds, but it did not produce a fish. My buzz bait on the other killed it !!!
From:Mike: Indiana 8/28/17
Comments: **UPDATE: 8/28/17**To my original review below, there are variations to each lure/tail that make these work or not. I received some more back-ordered frogs and tied one of those on. It ran true and almost always paddled the tail and threw water similar to a whopper plopper with similar sound no matter how I reeled it or which way it ran with/against the current. I've had some huge blow-ups as well as just 'popped' and swirl strikes. Hook-up seems hit or miss, I guess it just depends on if they have the body or just the tail, but hooks penetrate easily without any reel hard hookset, just a slight bump/snatch after I reel up to make sure they have it. When you do hook them it always seems to be in the corner of the mouth with only one hook. In two days fishing I've caught several 6-7 pounders in very grassy areas, which this excels at. The downside is rigging the tails. As stated above its hit or miss i guess. Fish took a tail after 10-15 fish in 2 days and so I put on a new one straigh
t, as I thought this was the right way. The new tail still works better then the first lure I received, but not as good as the original tail that was on this good frog. I guess I'll just have to keep playing with the tail angle when screwed on at different angles to see if that's the problem with my others and see it solves the new one as well. Overall, I am pleased with this lure and will be ordering more to replace my paint damaged ones as they get pretty beat up with all of the gar and mudfish mixed in around my area that love this lure as well. Even with teeth holes, paint missing, it still floats and does not soak up hardly any water unless fish gulps it and doesn't get hooked. **Original Review**I was very excited to try these as a weedless whopper plopper option. Now I'm not quite sure of these. Tried them out in a lake and a river this weekend. They might be good for subtle presentations, but they don't throw that much water or wake, and 70% or more of the time the tails are not spinning, just dragging behind the frog. Tried reeling fast, slow, and all in between. Up-current, down-current, didn't matter. Maybe I got the first batch of rushed ones or lemons but I'm not impressed thus far. I see more action from the homemade ones on youtube. I'll try to build my own and compare side by side to them next.
From:Jr: Florida 8/1/17
Comments: Ok frog, they need to tweak it a little bit more and it would be a good frog, my complaints are the nose of the bait is facing downward causing it to dive down when pulled hard and another is it holds water and the hook up ratio is poor even with the hooks slightly bent upwards and like someone else said don't get caught up in the hype, I did
From:Adam: Belfry, Ky 8/22/17
Comments: Great concept and explosive action but the hook up ratio is horrible. The hook design could be on a different angle and higher to the body like the spro glider. I purchased a spro glider knock off style teckel off ebay and i must say its way better. The hook ups are 10x better. The guy does a great job in making them. I dont see the point in fishing with a bait that has a horrible hook up ratio to cause disappointment time and time again. Like i said great concept but horrible in design.
From:John: Paris, Tennessee 8/19/17
Comments: It's whatever; it catches fish, it's something new and fun to fish. However, I bought 3, now I have 3 with bent hooks, weights gone, and no more tails left. If they were cheap and easy to get it would be one thing, but like I said, they are just whatever.
From:Adam Saylor: Port Clinton, Ohio 8/19/17
Comments: The hook up ratio is a little on the low side, but pair this up with the lake fork frog trailer hook and this thing is a machine, of course you lose a little of the weedless benefits but you'll gain it back in fish catches..
From:Ricky: RINGGOLD 8/17/17
Comments: Ive got 2 of these things and have yet to catch a fish in them. Ive had a few blowups on it but if its not hit just right you arent going to catch a thing. I defenently wouldnt spend more then the normal $14 on these. So dont waste your money on the overpriced ebay ones. Yes they can be fished in areas where a whopper plopper cant but the area still has to be fairly clear of pads and what not or the tail will not spin properly. I personally have had a lot more luck with the whopper plopper 110s love that thing. Just need to be a little more careful where you toss it.
From:Jason: Chelsea, Mi 8/16/17
Comments: Fish it like a frog, like a wopper plopper or like a buzz bait. They all work for me
From: rod: holiday,fl 8/15/17
Comments: Great bait totally weed less with the action of a whopper plopper.
From: Ben: Daphne Alabama 7/28/17
Comments: Similar to the whopper plopper but weedless. Over priced on ebay and people still buy them when they can make their own very easily. Cant understand it! Go on youtube and watch 20 videos on how to make your own or wait 2 weeks until they come out for 15$ here at tacklewarehouse.
From:Don: Paris, Tennessee 7/27/17
Comments: Great idea but hook up ratio on this frog is horrible. Many frog fisherman as myself know hook up ratio on a frog can be tough. Ive missed way to many fish on this thing. Zoom horny toads or strike king super toads work better hooking up fish....dont get caught up in the hype!
From: Darren - Alabama 7/25/17
Comments: Casts very well and goes thru weeds and Lilly pads with ease. So far most of the strikes however have been in open water. I am new to frog fishing so my hook up ratio has not been good compared to a whopper plopper or other buzzbait. The lure looks amazing in the water and you can cast it all day without tiring. Hopefully my hook up ratio will increase with time
From:Ron: Springfield nj 7/18/17
Comments: I have been fishing these since they came out. I can honestly say i love them. They draw big fish and some vicious strikes. However, they are not indestructible and arent 100% weedless, but then again what is. They can take a pretty good beating but ive lost all my tails and one of the weights on the bottom came flying out so just keep an eye out for that. Overall 9/10. Would swim through tons of nasty weeds to get it back again!
From:RJK: MA 7/17/17
Comments: Wow! Had heard the tail wouldn't last a couple fish...many casts and more importantly, many fish later..still there!!
From:Mike: MA 7/4/17
Comments: The tail swivel isn't attached to the hook or the eye so if you get a short strike and set the hook you will end up with a hollow body frog without a tail.
From:Unknown 7/2/17
Comments: My sprinkler frog came in the mail three days ago and since then, I have been fishing it a lot. Over the past few days, I have developed a love hate relationship with it. I have gotten the most insane blowups I have ever seen on a frog, but I have missed a lot of fish (I'm not an expert frog fisherman, but I do hook up most of the time on other frogs)... I missed a 5 today, a 7 last night (which is a trophy fish in NH), and a couple 4s two days ago. This frog gets an insane amount of blowups, mostly because you can cover a large amount of area. The hook up ratio with this frog is very small, maybe 1:5. Almost all the fish I missed, came after I hooked into them due to the hooks. They are TERRIBLE. The only hope I had of landing the fish after hooking into it was keeping it from jumping. Every fish I got into the boat had the hooks pop off when flopping around in the net or on the deck. I DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE OUT ANY HOOKS. It's not like I wasn't cracking them either, I was setting t
he hook hard. Hard enough that it shouldn't come out. I would recommend replacing the hooks that come with this frog. Overall, this frog can be amazing if you swap out the hooks.
Pros: Gets big fish to blow up, covers water, durability, action
Cons: Hooks, hook up ratio
From: Jack - Windham, NH
Comments: I just wanted to say this frog is awsome but don't waist your money buying one from eBay just wait for stock it's not worth the price buy a spinning frog then easily modify with any type of trailer
From: Johnny - 6/25/17
Comments: I love fishing frogs....a spro has been my favorite for years...this frog has it beat...the action and sound of this frog is what triggers the bites...it's amazing and the strikes are some of the most explosive strikes I've ever seen!

Comments: This thing is rad threw it in trees, grass, and over tules it came threw everything. Had one eat it, instant hook up and the tail stayed on nice 3 pounder it was by far the coolest topwater bite I've had all year . Im sure some large tournaments will be won on this bait in the the next few years.
